Welcome to Enable Academy

Before the first course.

Welcome from the Founder & CEO A short talking head before you begin.

To add it, drop an MP4 named Welcome from the Founder & CEO.mp4 in this same folder. Nothing else to change.

You took a post at a hotel that has not opened yet. Not many people will do that. Most want the building finished, the systems running and somebody else's mistakes already made before they sign anything.

Pagadian Hilltop Village goes to Sim Open around November 2026 and Grand Open around January 2027. That means the controls you are about to learn have to be standing before the first peso crosses a counter. You are not inheriting a finance office. You are building one.

So read this program the right way. Your post exists to make sure the owners' money is counted honestly on the nights when nobody is watching. Everything else in the job serves that one thing.

What you are protecting

The owners built this estate with their own money and handed it to Enable to run. Every peso a guest pays, every peso we pay a supplier and every remittance to government moves through your hands or under your eyes.

When the deposit is intact and the morning report lands on time, they sleep well. When those slip, no amount of good service upstairs covers for it. That is the whole weight of the seat, and I would rather you carry it knowingly from the first week.

Three things to hold while you work

Following are the three I care most about.

  1. Take the sequence as it is set. You learn the estate and the operating model before you touch the money. You touch the money under supervision before you run it alone. The order is deliberate, and skipping it is how careful people still get hurt.
  2. Take the checks honestly. Every course here came from a real procedure, a real form, or a real loss a hotel like ours once took. A sign-off only means something when the work behind it is real.
  3. Never let anyone rush you through a high-risk course. Not a supervisor. Not a deadline. Not me.

You are going to fail a test, and that is fine

When it happens the course opens again with a different set of questions. If it beats you three times it resets so you can work it properly, and no record of that failure follows you anywhere. I would rather you fail a test in this program in September than fail a cash count on the floor in December.

Take your time where the program tells you to. Nobody is measuring you against the clock here. The timer on each course is there so you can see your own pace, not so anyone can hold it against you.

What Malasakit looks like in a finance office

Malasakit means genuine care, the kind that costs you something, and it is the word behind all nine of our core values. In your post it looks unglamorous.

It is counting the drawer properly when it is late and everyone wants to go home. It is chasing a receivable politely and relentlessly. It is returning a defective reimbursement the same day with a plain explanation instead of letting it sit in a tray. Nobody will applaud you for any of those. Do them anyway, because the owner cannot see the drawer and has to trust that you did.

The distance between two titles

The title on your appointment says HR Associate. The post I am building you to hold is Finance & Administration Director. Evidence closes the distance between the two. Not time in the seat, and not the title on the door.

Validated cycles. Clean closes. Funded calendars. Controls that held when somebody tested them. That is the evidence, and this program is where you start producing it.

If you get stuck

Your mentor sits beside you for the whole induction, and that is who you ask first. Ask early and ask twice if you have to. Nobody here has ever been thought less of for asking a question in week one.

If something in this program still does not make sense after that, write to me directly at [email protected]. I read my own mail.

The hill needs its numbers true every morning. I am glad you are here.

Thank you and God bless.
